why do dentists make a mold of your teeth before getting braces? is it important?
think i need braces and i want to get them. other people think so to and they keep on telling me that. why do dentists make molds of your teeth. is it important? how long does it take for your dentist to say u need braces?
The dentist makes molds of your teeth to find out exactly what procedure needs to be done and on what teeth. They also take x-rays to see how your jaw may be affected, and to get another look at the way your teeth are placed and how they will move them around in your mouth, and also if any teeth need to be extracted (pulled) All your teeth are numbered and they make molds of your teeth, number them, and place backets, spacers, rubber bands, ect to get the best results, Beautiful teeth!
The orthodontist makes a mold of your teeth so they can customize your braces to fit your mouth properly. Its very important that they do this in order for them braces to get the desires effect. It doesn’t take long for the dentist to decided whether you need braces or not after they inspect the X rays of your teeth.

to see where your teeth need to be fixed. And yes it is important. It doesn’t take that long for them to say u need braces either during the appointment or a little while after.
