I had my wisdom teeth removed in October and the day after I ended up eating chunky soup. Never got dry socket. And it’s all healed.

i couldnt even talk for like 2 days after! i was in so much pain! i didnt eat solid food for almost a month cause my gums were so sore! i made my own kinda ice pack to tie around like that because it felt good! wow you are doing very good!

To swallow without suction, I’ve just poured then ensure in my mouth, tilt head back and swallow /w mouth open.

This is hilarious. I came home and ate two double cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets after about 4 hours after I had my wisdom teeth taken out. I was smoking and drinking carbonated beverages and hard alcohol after 2-3 days after having the wisdom teeth pulled. I was fine. I wasnt wearing a stupid head brace either too haha!

i had an allergic reaction to the packing too! It was horrible, I told them I would rather be in pain then sick jeje. So they didn’t repack it. I am healing pretty well. Hopefully another week and the holes will be gone.

wow.. you look much better of after 6 hours than i did, thats for sure.. i had a horrible time after having my wisdom teeth removed. turned out not only was i allergic to the pain meds i was also allergic to the packing they used when i got dry sockets. i was so horribly sick i missed out on 2 weeks of work & lost over 20 lbs in that 2 weeks

I went thru this! I ended up with a tiny hole in my upper mouth b/c my sinuses were too close to my teeth or whatever, and I wasnt allowed to suck thru a straw, spit, or even blow my nose for a whole month until the hole closed up! It was toture!!!!

Lol, as soon as Mom brought my prescription back from Walmart, all was well (and happy! wowsers. no wonder it’s only available by prescription!). Now the pain is starting to come back a little but I might try to sleep without taking any painkillers since it’s not phenomenally bad at the moment.
I’m not taking arnica. Did you take any conventional pain killers at all?

lol, are you taking arnica? I really think that had a lot to do with how well I did.
Oh, and the swallowing hting…. I learned how to swallo with minimal suction when I had braces! After they would be adjusted the slightest suction would kill, so I learned how to swallow without it!

I just got my 2 bottom ones out and it wasn’t a big deal at all. Just ask for gas and you’ll sail through it. They numb your gums before you get the shots, so just keep your eyes closed and don’t look, and before you know it your whole jaw will be numb.
