Wisdom Teeth Removal
i got all 4 of my impacted wisdom teeth removed on july 2, 2009. i had a good experience. it didn’t hurt. no major bleeding. i only took 2 hydrocodone after the surgery and of course the antibiotic for a week. my main problem was the swelling which went down in about 4 days.

they started an IV …
they started an IV on my arm and the drug infusing through that knocked me out. i don’t remember anything after, except waking up and they were already done. for numbing your mouth, they usually inject some anesthesia in your gums, but they do that after you’re knocked out. unless you’re just getting normal teeth pulled. idk. it’s different for everyone. not every oral surgeon is the same.

i was eating solid food in 3-4 days, but i had to eat it really slowly and towards the front of my mouth. i think it took me a week or more to eat normally. and no, i didn’t get a dry socket.

@honeybunn215 for me, since i got all 4 removed, the chipmunk cheeks went away in 4 days. but i was able to drive in 2 days. my sister only got 2 of her wisdom teeth removed and she only looked swollen the first day.
