If your getting married then why not tell your mom?

At the VERY least your oral surgeon needs to know before the surgery!

it shouldnt be that hard to tell her if your about to get married…tell your dentist or oral surgeon or whoever those medications can affect your baby and they may have to take x-rays which can be harmful as well they will wait until after the baby born

  6. Why don’t you just take a pregnancy test? If you’re so early in this "could be" pregnancy that you can’t test yet, oral surgery would do absolutely nothing to harm your baby =)

But can I just give you a word of advice? Marriage is tough sometimes. Don’t rush into anything. It’s a lifelong commitment and at 17, you haven’t experienced much of "life" yet. But you know what’s best for you. Just a thought =)

And for future reference, you don’t have to list your age in your question. It has no relevance to your question "would it hurt my baby?". It’s the best way to avoid rude comments.

  7. Atleast mention this your surgeon.. they may do the xray and give medicine which is unsuitable for growing fetus..

If you mention that may be you are pregnant they wl avoid these things.. for the sake of baby don’t hide things

  8. Okay this is not the best of situations but you can handle it. If you are 17 you can go out an get a home pregnancy test on your own and take it, this will help you out some. If it is to early to tell just mention the possibility to your dentist and let them handle it from there. Because if you are having x-rays before the surgery this is an issue as well. Depending on the type of surgery it may or may not be possible to continue with the surgery. Do you know if they will have to put you under or use a local numbing solution all of these factors will come into play in the decision of weather or not you will be able to have the surgery. The dentist will not be able to divulge the information to your mother because of dr. patient confidently. Good luck and practice more responsible sex if this is a false alarm for you.

  9. Can’t you take a test? That would be the best thing to do. If you haven’t even missed your period yet then it should be fine. I didn’t know I was pregnant this time, and had a colonoscopy . I freaked after I found out. But my doctors assured me that as long as I had the colonoscopy shortly after conception the baby would be fine. But if you missed your period then you are far enough along that it could effect things. So take a test if this is the case. If it comes back negative then go forward with the surgery and don’t worry too much. If it’s positive then it’s time to talk to your Mother. Good luck

Have you missed a period? If so take a test.
If you think you are pregnant you will need to tell the Dr. or postpone the surgery.

Hate to sound rude, but your old/mature enough to have sex, you have to be mature enough to take responsibility when these things happen. Hang in there :)
