    I prefer the lynch mob – revolution take on this and other dokken songs then this original. I know I’m going to get into a lot of trouble, but I love the singer’s lynch has picked more than dokken himself.

    if you liked beach’s guitar in this dokken song then you should really listen to the original with george so you can hear how it’s supposed to sound.

    Ok… DD’s voice sounds “great” if you compare him to Lemmy K… Nice that Beach can mimic a solo written by G.L. …. (is that a Suhr ? an Anderson ? )… heck, only Pilson and Brown seem to have the edge from before. IMHO.

  5. Dude, this is 11 …
    Dude, this is 11 years old. Don could still sing at this point. I saw him this summer at the M3 Festival – and it pains me to say this because I am a HUGE Dokken fan – but his voice was completely gone. It was truly sad to see. Dokken has an incredible catalogue of songs that deserve to be heard – but if I saw the best that Don has left this summer, they are ripping people off to continue to charge to see them live. I kid you not.

    having reb beach fill in for lynch was probably the best possible choice. reb beach is an astounding guitarist, as is lynch.

    All the talk about …
    All the talk about George and Reb is taking away from Don himself…keep in mind that a LOT of the 80’s singers voices are burning out and many sound like nowadays, and although Don isn’t quite what he used to be, the dude is still pretty awesome. This song sounded really good.

    As a session player who’s been on over 1000 recordings, and from my experience of playing both Reb’s material as well as Lynch’s material, I find Lynch’s material to be so much easier- from tone to technique. I like Lynch’s material- but only because it gives me a break from the more difficult style of Beech.

    Crazy statement.. Go and see a local band in a club and the chances are that the guitar player will be able to reproduce ther original. The real gift is producing
    that work in the first place. Dont get me wrong i think Reb is a great player but I dont think he is better than Lynch as you make out
