  7. I would make a call to the dentist right away. A bad tooth ache with a fever is a very common sign of a tooth abscess. I just went through it myself back in November. Don’t wait.. Get to a dentist right away!! Hope you feel better soon : )

  8. Put a piece if ice on your gums, below the aching tooth. This will numb the gums, where the nerves are. Keep the ice on until you can get an appointment with a good dentist. For the fever, take tylenol.

  9. Best remdy is the dentist, leaving a bad tooth for so long can cause medical problems like infection (sounds like what you have now) and can lead to worse complications later and cost you more money in the long run if you don’t get your tooth checked.

See a dentist. sounds like you have an infection for which you need an antibiotic before any dental work can be done. FYI – I just read about a young boy who died due to an infection that made it way to his brain. Good/ bad dental hygiene has been linked to a healthy/Poor body.

  11. You are a lucky if you haven’t had toothache. But you should know some easy tips for toothache to be prepared when it’ll come unexpectedly.
Toothache remedies are as life-buoys, they can’t remove your disease at all, but can save you for some time.

Here are some home tested by people toothache relieves. They say it helps! Maybe you should try it, if toothache had found by surprise or there are problems to go to the dentist.

Anyway, you should be extremely careful making experiments with your teeth. But in this concrete case it’s not so dangerous, because most of products are naturally which you can buy in any grocery
OK, let us look at them:

    1. Toothache relief using cucumber.
    Candy L.

    Instructions:
Cut a good enough pieces to fit on the tooth that is hurting or any pain on the body and it will take the pain away.
P.S.: Remember to make sure that it is refrigerated it’s a better soothing feeling.
(And get to the dentist as soon as you can)

    2. Toothaches remedy using dried peppermint, salt water and oats.
    Carol H.

    Instructions:
Place a little wad of dried peppermint leaves around the tooth or abscess, spit out after a few minutes.
If you repeat this several times during the day, it should bring the abscess to the surface, lance it with a pin and treat it again. Rinse with warm salt water.
Oats will work to draw out an abscess, but peppermint relieves pain as well.

    3. Ease a toothache with raw potato.
    Amanda Alexander

    Instructions:
If you have any cold potatoes in refrigerator peel the skin off and cut a good enough piece to fit on the tooth that is hurting or any pain on the body and it will take the pain away.

P.S.: Remember to make sure that it is refrigerated it’s a better soothing feeling.

    4. Toothaches cure with real vanilla extract.
    Trish G.

    Instructions:
I suffer from constant toothaches. And whenever they hit, I know what to do! There are two ways to go about this remedy.

    1. For toothaches that aren’t all that bad, put some real vanilla extract on a cotton ball and place on the hurting tooth. it’ll numb it!

    2. For extremely bad toothaches (cant sleep, eat, drink, etc.) swish around some real vanilla extract on the side of your mouth that hurts. It wont taste good, but it will numb it completely. And you won’t have trouble sleeping just because of that pesky tooth ache.

    5. Toothaches remedy with help of tea bag, garlic cloves and ginger root.
    Irene B.

Here are my tips for easing toothache pain:
    - Use a wet tea bag, and place it on the sore tooth. This has helped me 9 times out of 10. In fact, I suppose you could keep a frozen tea bag in the freezer and use it on your tooth.
    - Garlic Cloves placed on the tooth has helped ease the pain.
    - Ginger Root – Shave a pies of and place on tooth. I hear that it helps with the infection, and it eased my pain, some.

    6. Toothache relief using olive oil and cotton ball.
    Gayle A.

    Instructions:
I have invented my own toothache remedy: whenever I have a toothache I use olive oil. Put a very small amount (probably just enough to cover the bottom of the cup or just a little bit more) on 10 seconds or until it is slightly warm to the touch get a spoon and have someone pour it in the ear on the side it is hurting.

Lay on your opposite side for about 30 seconds so it’ll have time to drain down. Your toothache will hopefully be gone. This has worked for me countless times, even with an infected tooth. It also helps prevent ear infection. Hope it works for you!

P.S.: Please do not try to put it in your ear yourself; you will end up with a very slimy bath.

    7. Remedy for toothache using iodine.
    Rebecca F.

    Instructions:
I was told by a friend that a drop of iodine on a tooth helps kill the pain and stop abscess. So far it works great.
Just remember to drop it on let it sit DON’T SWALLOW. Then brush after.

    8. Toothaches remedy using table salt and warm water.
    Fosh S.

    Instructions:
As many say, table salt and warm water is great, I used it and the pain didn’t completely go away but it’s nothing compared to the horrible pain it was at first. Works pretty well and brushing your teeth afterwards gets rid of the bad taste.

    9. Toothaches relief using oil of oregano.
    Jessica I.

    Instructions:
I’ve had a lot of trouble with my teeth and sometimes no money for the dentist. Here are a few natural remedies for toothache:

    1. Oil of oregano – apply directly to tooth or gum, tastes bad and burns a little but has natural anti-biotic properties.

    2. Colgate Peroxyl mouth rinse – for mouth lesions, contains mostly peroxide.

    3. Colloidal silver – this can be found at health food stores; also may have antibiotic properties. Hold a dropperful under your tongue and then swallow twice daily.

    4. Cashews/oil of cashew. I’ve heard that eating cashews can cause an abscess to heal. Hasn’t worked for me, but I know people it has worked for.

    10. Relieving a toothache with help of hot wet washcloth.
    John D.

    Instructions:
Apply a hot wet washcloth to the areas of pain until pain subsides… repeat as many times as needed… It will amaze you… works for extreme toothache pain.

  12. If the toothache is caused by damage to the tooth – a hole, a missing filling – then you might try clove oil. If there is a hole of any great magnitude, then mixing the clove oil with zinc oxide powder will provide a temporary filling that will remove the pain and suffice, with careful treatment that excludes cracking open nuts etc, until you see a dentist.
    Hope this helps

Rinse your mouth with the coldest water you can stand. Then apply a heating pad to the side of your face that the tooth is bothering you on. Get to the dentist ASAP but you may have an abcess since you have the fever. He can give you antibiotics and something good for pain.

Untill you can get to a dentist I would suggest using pure lemon extract. (the kind you get from the spice section in the tiny bottle) Put it on the end of a q-tip and rub it around the area that is painful. This worked well for me till I could get to a dentist when I had pain. (Just don’t lick the q-tip! lol YUCK!)
