How do you get rid of a severe toothache?
I have a severe toothache and there are no dentists open till Mon. and i need a way to solve this horrible pain. I have already taken Tylenol and it has not helped neither does Oragel. Any answers please.
Try dissolving the Tylenol on the tooth. There is really not much you can do. I feel for you believe me. you might also try getting a babies frozen tooth binky and putting it on there. Good luck

Throw away the Tylenol unless your doctor says that’s all you can take. It is virtually useless for pain and fever relief, and any good doctor will tell you that. It’s widely used ONLY because it doesn’t aggravate other conditions (like Advil) or promote bleeding (aspirin). Switch to Advil/Motrin. Call your doctor and ask what the maximum is you can take, because you’ll need it. You can also go to an ER, and they’ll give you an Rx to get through the weekend. Tylenol II (or III) has codeine – that REALLY doesn’t help with the pain, but it puts you in La-La Land.

I just recently went through this very thing. First of all, you should make a dentist appointment to see what exactly is wrong, and until the dentist appointment I advise getting some Oragel… they sell it at places like Wal-Mart and it’s fairly cheap. Put it on the tooth and on the gums surrounding the tooth. That should numb it up quite a bit, also just keep painkillers in your system. Don’t go over the suggested dosage of any one pill, but what I did was I just switched them up. I took an 2 Aleve, then 2 hours later I would take 2 Tylenol. Well, I hope that helped.

The pain may be coming from the root or nerve under the apex of tooth. If its really bad, try going to the ER and getting a prescription of Vicodin. Good luck!
