What are some good cures for a toothache?

I have a toothache in my bottom 4 incisors. I’ve had it since I hit my teeth with my brother’s head (on accident). The teeth weren’t affected at all, so I’m not worried about that. Do you know of anything I can do to help me with the pain? Thanks.

orajel, but i would make your way to the dentist and make sure you didn’t do any nerve damage there, kiddo.

take care.

Drink milk. If it doesn’t make the teeth feel better when it passes over them, then it’d be a fantastic idea to definitely go to the dentist.

  3. put a asprin or tylenol directly on it and let it dissolve it tastes aweful but its very effective

Take up to 800 milligrams of Ibuprofen (motrin is one brand name, wal-mart has a cheap brand) up to 3 times a day …
UNTIL you can see a dentist.
You may have cracked the teeth below the gumline or something, and he will probably take some x-rays to be sure.

  5. Sounds as though you don’t know too much about teeth!
Trauma can cause damage to the nerves of teeth. While the tooth enamel might not be damaged, the nerves could have been affected by the blow and that is what is causing your pain.
My suggestion is to get to the dentist quickly. Let him/her check out the teeth to make sure that there are no fractures that you can’t see with the naked eye. Make sure that the nerves are not damaged. If they are they can be treated.
Don’t take anything stronger than ibuprofen or Tylenol. If that is not enough to take away the pain then obviously there is something serious going on and you HAVE to get to the dentist ASAP. If, however, the medication does take the pain away, give it a few days to see if it goes away. If it does, great. You still need to have them checked out but the prognosis is better.
    Next time… watch out!
