What else to take for a severe toothache?
My fiance has a severe toothache and nothing is easing the pain. He has taken everything. Does anyone have any suggestions of what he should do? He has a appointment tomorrow. He cannot eat, or sleep the pain is so bad. Thanks for all the answers
He has tried ice packs and warm compresses.
He has also tried anbesol seriously he has tried EVERYTHING!!!
Toothaches are painful but can be prevented
by take suitable precautions. Avoid eating
food which will result in the formation of acid
in the mouth, brush teeth regularly with a fluoride
toothpaste. I found the information at

try tylenol or advil. also try putting warm compress or cloth on the area. even ice might help.
References :
go to the drug store and get a little bottle of Anbesol, take a qtip and rub some around the bad tooth and gums, this will deaden the pain, do it every couple of hours
References :
Have him put a regular aspirin in his mouth right over the ‘toothache’ and let it ‘melt naturally’ there … and he can ‘keep doing that’ every two hours until he can see the dentist. It’s not a ‘good thing’ to do because it can actually help ‘rot’ the teeth, but if he is in som much pain that he can’t eat or sleep, the ‘pain relief’ is more important than anything else.
