Is it normal to see inside the hole after wisdom teeth extraction?

It has been a week since all 4 of my wisdom teeth were extracted. I am in NO pain at all. I looked at the extraction site and saw that one side looks open and i can see something white. I am in no pain at all and I am able to eat normally. I was just wondering if this normal? What is the white that I am seeing and will it heal normally?
Kala, Did it go away and heal normally?

The skin in your mouth can’t form a scab like the skin of your arm. Instead, it softens and soaks up the saliva, making it look watersodden or white. A bit like if you soak too long in the bath.
Absolutely normal and requires no concern.
(Someone elses answer)

It should fall off an go away soon enough.

  4. I got my wisdom teeth extrated a month ago and i saw the same white thing. I kept on rinsing with salt and anticeptic mouth wash and everything has been ok.The dentist normally gives a syringe type of thing to specifically wash of any food particles in the holes. As long as they don’t get infected then you are on the right path.

  5. It takes about 3 weeks for that whole to close completely. Make sure you rince with salt water so that no food gets trapped in.
