Can I leave wisdom teeth in and have different ones removed?

I’m just curious because people say that the only reason to have wisdom teeth removed is because they mess up teeth that are already there.

On my bottom row I am already missing 2 teeth (the 4 in between the "canines," I have only two.) On the molars in the wayyyy back on both sides aren’t in the best of shape.

So could I get those two back molars pulled out and let the wisdom teeth come in instead?
Has anyone heard of anyone doing this?

yes, but afterwards you’d need braces to align the wisdom teeth in a straight position.

  1. Wisdom teeth are usually the ones that need to be removed. You can ask a dentist or oral surgeon if they remove other teeth, if it would be a better option for your situation. It’s probably easier to get your wisdom teeth removed though. That way there’s no teeth missing and it doesn’t look weird.
