Getting wisdom teeth out before they grow in?

I have just gotten my braces off a few days ago, but my orthodontist said that my wisdom teeth coming in will probably make my teeth crooked again. Is it possible to have them removed before they surface to the gums, and have a chance to disrupt the other teeth? What process would they have to use?
Would you recommend waiting till they come in or getting it done asap?
Im 14 years old.

Depends on how old you are… You may have a few years before they grow in. – I had mine pulled before my braces but my mom’s didn’t come in until she was almost forty.

I’d do it now that way you don’t risk moving your teeth too much and having to go through braces again.

They would pull them just like any other teeth. I would recommend being asleep (general anethesia) rather than awake. I had to go in twice wisdoms and biscuspids – never doing the numbing shots in the mouth again.

  2. they can be taken out before they come in you would have to ask your dentest, mine tried to take them out before they grew in like 3-5 months ago and i said no, you would have to ask.

  3. I would wait for them to come in. They may not affect your other teeth, mine didn’t when they came in. It would also be a surgical procedure that insurance may find unnecessary.
